Studio Introduction

This year Studio Just Transitions was located in Dundee, a city that continues to demonstrate its commitment to tackling the impacts of climate change and one of the first cities to establish a Fairness Commision made up of people with lived experience of poverty. Today Dundee finds itself in the thralls of a housing crisis with 31% of the city's households (above the Scottish average) affected by fuel poverty, making these households particularly vulnerable to the impacts of the climate emergency.

Taking Dundee and its surrounding environment as our territory of focus the studio has developed regenerative led projects that place social and ecological justice at the heart of a just transition to a decarbonised future.
